Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, as well as emerging technologies.
We have entered the ‘Photography in Advertising’ category with our Smoke Barbecue ad campaign for the Leeds store opening. Before the list of winners are released on May 2nd, AMCP Blog are showcasing a few select entries that stand out in the spotlight – and our Smoke Barbecue campaign is one of them!
Put the fork down, it’s time to get dirty is Smoke Barbecue’s mantra. We created photography that embodied the rich flavours of the food combined with the hands on experience of eating in the restaurant. We used members of staff, family and friends rather than models. We wanted folk that were up for a good time, already ingrained in the passion of the business, real people who embodied the essence of the restaurants character and clientele. The photography is now Smoke’s signature, used everywhere from print to social media, it’s an honest portrayal of the experience you should expect at their restaurants.
