Transitioning several disparate brands into a newly merged brand
The Housing Plus Group is a leading provider of quality, affordable homes and care services. The Housing Plus Group approached us to design a new brand identity to support their merger of several existing businesses into one new business, Homes Plus.
We received a very clear brief and direction which is always vital for a project of this magnitude. We also worked with the Housing Plus team in online Q&A discussions to help us better understand their customers, the services they delivered and the substrates that the new identity needed to work upon. Both the brief and our initial exploration helped us to devise a new design for the business logo that would connect with their customers and also work across varied communication materials including vans, clothing and digital platforms. We developed three logo concepts and colour exploration was a key element throughout. The three concepts were presented to internal focus groups and eventually refined down to the final design.
A merger of existing businesses or organisations can be difficult, but getting key people in your business involved in the development of the new design for the brand really helps to build the excitement, confidence and reassurance of success.
